The Kelly Plantation Fishing Club was conceived in 2000 by Norm Hall, Dick Philson, and Dick Wood.
Our club was formed by Kelly Plantation residents who love to fish. Once word got out that there was a new club for fishing enthusiasts it didn’t take long before membership began to grow. Club meetings were held at the Owner’s Club to elicit ideas for fishing excursions. Experts in the art of fishing or fishing regulations were secured as guest speakers to inform and entertain the members. Events were added to include the spouses such as the “Almost World Famous” Annual Fish Fry; which in 2019 topped 100 hungry eaters.
As one of our long time members, Bob Carron says, whether you enjoy fishing, like to talk about fishing, or like to eat fish, this club is for you.

About Our Club
- The club has continued to flourish and last year boasted over 70 members.
- The club normally meets at the Kelly Plantation Owner’s Club at 6:30 PM on the first Tuesday of the month from February to June and August to November.
- The club is open to anyone and we invite you to check us out.
- Annual dues are $30 (payable to KPFC).
Annual Events
- June: Father’s Day Fish Fry at owner’s club
- September: Burgers & Brats at Harry T’s
- November: Annual Banquet at Kelly Plantation Grill
Included
Included with your dues are an invite, for the member and immediate family to our annual, almost world famous, “Father’s Day Fish Fry” and “Burgers & Brats” meeting in September. The club also organizes many wonderful fishing excursions, such as an opening week Red Snapper trip, occasional trips to Apalachicola, Salmon & Halibut fishing in Alaska, Trout fishing in the Louisiana marsh, and Tuna fishing out of Venice Louisiana!
